Vyuṣṭi (Merit-Outcome) of Honoring Brāhmaṇas: Kṛṣṇa and Durvāsā

Educational Q&A

Dharma-instruction is portrayed as a rare, time-sensitive opportunity, and the verse emphasizes reliance on a uniquely qualified teacher whose guidance is indispensable for understanding and practicing comprehensive dharma.

Yudhiṣṭhira addresses an eminent elder/authority, stating that a rare occasion has come for their family to receive instruction, and that apart from this person there is no one else capable of teaching them the full scope of dharma.
