दत्त्वा तु सततं ते5स्तु कौरवाणां धुरन्धर | दानयज्ञक्रियायुक्ता बुद्धिर्धमोपचायिनी,कौरवधुरंधर! तुम भी सदा दान करते रहो। तुम्हारी बुद्धि दान और यज्ञकी क्रियामें संलग्न हो धर्मकी उन्नति करती रहे
dattvā tu satataṃ te 'stu kauravāṇāṃ dhurandhara | dānayajñakriyāyuktā buddhir dharmopacāyinī ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Hỡi bậc gánh vác trọng trách của dòng Kaurava, nguyện cho ngươi luôn là người bố thí không ngừng. Nguyện cho trí tuệ của ngươi thường hằng chuyên chú vào các hạnh bố thí và tế tự, mãi mãi làm cho dharma tăng trưởng.”
