भूधरो नागमौज्जी च नागकुण्डलकुण्डली । नागयज्ञोपवीती च नागचर्मोत्तरच्छद:

Transliteration

bhūdharo nāgamaūjjī ca nāgakuṇḍalakuṇḍalī | nāgayajñopavītī ca nāgacarmottaracchadaḥ ||

Translation

Vāsudeva nói: “Ngài là kẻ nâng đỡ địa cầu; thắt lưng bằng rắn. Ngài đeo khuyên tai bằng rắn, mang dây thánh (yajñopavīta) làm bằng rắn, và khoác da rắn làm áo choàng.” Lời miêu tả gợi lên Śeṣa như trụ cột vũ trụ—được đánh dấu bởi sự tự chế và bổn phận kiên định—đến cả trang sức cũng là biểu tượng của sức mạnh kỷ luật, được giữ gìn để phụng sự việc nâng đỡ thế gian.
