Educational Q&A

Approach dharma-instruction without malice or fault-finding, and listen with faith and mental concentration; such receptive discipline prevents obstacles from overpowering one and dispels fear.

Skanda is instructing the listener about the fruit of properly hearing sacred dharma teachings: the attentive, faithful, and non-censorious hearer becomes resilient—hindrances lose their force and fear does not take hold.
