Viṣṇu-sahasranāma—Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry and Bhīṣma’s Recitation (विष्णोर्नामसहस्रम्)
अहन्यहनि यो दद्यात् कपिलां द्वादशी: समा: । मासि मासि च सत्रेण यो यजेत सदा नर:
bhīṣma uvāca | ahany ahani yo dadyāt kapilāṁ dvādaśīḥ samāḥ | māsi māsi ca satreṇa yo yajeta sadā naraḥ |
Bhishma nói: “Dẫu một người ngày ngày bố thí một con bò màu vàng nâu suốt trọn mười hai năm, và dẫu tháng tháng duy trì một kỳ tế lễ liên tục không gián đoạn, thì công đức của những việc ấy vẫn không thể sánh bằng quả phúc của người mà nhờ sự phụng sự của mình khiến vị khách thật sự mãn nguyện.”
