2 अं ड-ऑ का त्रिशर्दाधिकशततमो<्ध्याय: अरुन्धती
bhīṣma uvāca | tatastvṛṣigaṇāḥ sarve pitaraś ca sadevatāḥ | arundhatīṃ tapovṛddhām apṛcchanta samāhitāḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: Bấy giờ, toàn thể hội chúng các bậc hiền triết, cùng với các Pitṛ và chư thiên, đến gần Arundhatī—người đã trở nên vĩ đại nhờ khổ hạnh—và với tâm ý định tĩnh, họ thỉnh hỏi nàng, mong được nghe từ chính miệng nàng bí mật thâm sâu nhất của dharma.
