Tapas-bala and karmic ascent across yoni
आहर्ता चानुमन्ता च विशस्ता क्रयविक्रयी । संस्कर्ता चोपभोक्ता च खादका: सर्व एव ते
āhartā cānumantā ca viśastā krayavikrayī | saṃskartā copabhoktā ca khādakāḥ sarva eva te ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Kẻ đem con vật đến để giết, kẻ cho phép, kẻ trực tiếp sát hại, kẻ mua và kẻ bán; cũng như kẻ chế biến và kẻ ăn—tất cả đều phải được xem là ‘người ăn’ (kẻ tham dự vào hành vi ấy). Về mặt đạo đức, mỗi người đều cùng chia phần ác nghiệp phát sinh từ việc đoạt mạng để làm thức ăn.”
