Educational Q&A

That dharmic, merit-producing conduct leads to honored, luminous posthumous attainments—depicted as receiving a radiant celestial vimāna and divine garlands—signifying purity, divine favor, and elevated destiny.

In Bhīṣma’s discourse on dharma in the Anuśāsana Parva, he describes the फल (result) of a praised practice or virtue: the person is welcomed in the next world with a lotus-bright celestial vehicle, blazing like sun and fire, and adorned with heavenly garlands.
