Āloka-dāna (Dīpa-dāna), Sumanas–Dhūpa–Dīpa Phala: Manu–Suvarṇa and Śukra–Bali Exempla
देवताभ्य: सुमनसो यो ददाति नर: शुचि: । तस्य तुष्यन्ति वै देवास्तुष्टा: पुष्टिं ददत्यपि,जो मनुष्य पवित्र होकर देवताओंको फूल चढ़ाता है, उसके ऊपर सब देवता संतुष्ट होते और उसके लिये पुष्टि प्रदान करते हैं
devatābhyaḥ sumanaso yo dadāti naraḥ śuciḥ | tasya tuṣyanti vai devās tuṣṭāḥ puṣṭiṃ dadaty api ||
Śukra nói: “Người thanh tịnh, tâm ý trong sạch, dâng hoa lên chư thiên thì làm chư thiên hoan hỷ. Khi các vị thần đã mãn nguyện, các ngài lại ban sự nuôi dưỡng, phú túc và sức nâng đỡ kiên cường cho người ấy.”
