Śama-prāptiḥ — Gautamī–Lubdhaka–Pannaga–Mṛtyu–Kāla-saṃvāda

असत्यपि कृते कार्य नेह पन्नग लिप्यते । तस्मान्नात्रैव हेतु: स्याद् वध्य: कि बहु भाषसे
asaty api kṛte kārye neha pannaga lipyate | tasmān nātraiva hetuḥ syād vadhyaḥ ki bahu bhāṣase ||
Người thợ săn nói: “Dẫu có dùng lời không thật để đạt một mục đích cần thiết, con rắn ở đây cũng không vì thế mà mắc tội. Vậy trong việc này, chẳng có căn cứ chính đáng nào để giết nó. Sao ngươi còn tranh luận dài dòng?”
