ययाति-देवयानी-शर्मिष्ठा विवादः — Śukra’s Curse and the Disclosure of Lineage
एवं हि मे कथयति शर्मिष्ठा वार्षपर्वणी । वचन तीक्षणपरुषं क्रोधरक्तेक्षणा भृशम्,वृषपर्वाकी लाड़िली शर्मिष्ठा क्रोध8े लाल आँखें करके आज मुझसे इस प्रकार अत्यन्त तीखे और कठोर वचन कह रही थी--
evaṁ hi me kathayati śarmiṣṭhā vārṣaparvaṇī | vacanaṁ tīkṣṇa-paruṣaṁ krodha-rakt-ekṣaṇā bhṛśam ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: “Đúng như thế, Śarmiṣṭhā, con gái của Vṛṣaparvan, đã nói với ta—đôi mắt đỏ ngầu vì giận dữ—thốt ra những lời lẽ vô cùng sắc nhọn và cay nghiệt.”
