कच-देवयानी संवादः
Kaca–Devayānī Dialogue and the Curse on Vidyā
दृष्टवा शयानं शकुना: समन्तात् पर्यवारयन् | नेमां हिंस्युर्वने बालां क्रव्यादा मांसगृद्धिन:
dṛṣṭvā śayānaṃ śakunāḥ samantāt paryavārayan | nemāṃ hiṃsyur vane bālāṃ kravyādā māṃsagṛddhinaḥ ||
Kaṇva nói: Thấy cô bé nằm đó, bầy chim tụ lại bốn phía, kết thành một vòng che chở. Trong rừng, những loài thú ăn thịt—tham lam vì mùi thịt—đã không làm hại đứa trẻ ấy. Cảnh tượng ấy gợi lên một trật tự đạo lý: sự trong trắng được gìn giữ, như thể chính thiên nhiên cũng kìm giữ bạo lực trước kẻ vô tội.
