तत्र मन्त्रविदां श्रेष्ठस्तपोवृद्धों महाव्रत: । जग्राह पार्णिं धर्मात्मा विधिमन्त्रपुरस्कृतम्‌,वहाँ मन्त्रवेत्ताओंमें श्रेष्ठ तपोवृद्ध महाव्रती धर्मात्मा जरत्कारुने शास्त्रीय विधि और मन्त्रोच्चारणके साथ नागकन्याका पाणिग्रहण किया

tatra mantravidāṁ śreṣṭhas tapovṛddho mahāvrataḥ | jagrāha pāṇiṁ dharmātmā vidhimantrapuraskṛtam ||

Tại đó, Jaratkāru—bậc chính trực, đứng đầu trong những người tinh thông thần chú, đã chín muồi bởi khổ hạnh và kiên định trong đại nguyện—đã cử hành lễ cưới, nhận tay nàng thiếu nữ Naga theo đúng nghi thức kinh điển và với những chân ngôn được quy định.
