Educational Q&A

Intelligence alone is not sufficient; even capable people may fail to find a solution without a valid hetu (effective means). The verse highlights humility in counsel and the ethical need to seek a truly workable path to liberation or rescue rather than relying on confidence or status.

Śeṣa speaks on behalf of a group, stating that although they are wise and have consulted together, they still cannot identify a convincing method for ‘mokṣaṇa’—a release or deliverance from the predicament at hand.
