Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta (गरुड–शक्र संवादः अमृत-अपहरण-प्रसङ्गः)

ब॒हस्पतिरु्वाच तवापराधाद्‌ देवेन्द्र प्रमादाच्च शतक्रतो । तपसा वालखिल्यानां महर्षीणां महात्मनाम्‌

Bṛhaspatir uvāca: tavāparādhād devendra pramādāc ca śatakrato | tapasā vālakhilyānāṃ maharṣīṇāṃ mahātmanām |

Bṛhaspati nói: “Hỡi Indra, chúa tể chư thiên, hỡi Śatakratu—chính bởi lỗi lầm và sự lơ là của ngươi, lại nhờ uy lực khổ hạnh của các bậc hiền triết Vālakhilya đại tâm, mà Kaśyapa và con trai của Vinatā—Garuḍa, vua loài chim—đang đến để đoạt lấy cam lộ bất tử. Nó vô cùng hùng mạnh và có thể tùy ý biến hóa hình dạng.”
