Even amid celebration, wise leaders and companions know when to step aside for purposeful consultation. The verse highlights discernment (viveka): choosing the right time and place for serious intent, rather than being carried away by public festivity.
During an ongoing festive pastime, Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna leave the main gathering and go nearby to a particularly charming spot, indicating a shift from public revelry to a more private moment—often a prelude to planning, counsel, or a significant decision.
