समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः

Samantapañcaka Narrative and the Measure of an Akṣauhiṇī

उद्योगपर्व विज्ञेयमत ऊर्ध्व॑ महाद्भुतम्‌ । ततः संजययानाख्यं पर्व ज्ञेयमत: परम्‌,इसके पश्चात्‌ परम अदभुत उद्योगपर्व समझना चाहिये। इसीमें संजययानपर्व कहा गया है। तदनन्तर चिन्ताके कारण धृतराष्ट्रके रातभर जागनेसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाला प्रजागरपर्व समझना चाहिये। तत्पश्चात्‌ वह प्रसिद्ध सनत्सुजातपर्व है, जिसमें अत्यन्त गोपनीय अध्यात्मदर्शनका समावेश हुआ है

Udyogaparva vijñeyam ata ūrdhvaṁ mahādbhutam | tataḥ saṁjayāyanākhyaṁ parva jñeyam ataḥ param |

Từ đây trở lên phải hiểu là Udyoga Parva, kỳ diệu về tầm vóc. Sau đó đến phần gọi là Saṁjayāyana Parva. (Rồi tiếp theo là những phần nổi tiếng khác—như Prājāgara, gắn với đêm Dhṛtarāṣṭra thao thức vì lo nghĩ; và Sanatsujāta Parva lừng danh, hàm chứa giáo huấn tâm linh thâm mật.)
