समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः

परिदेवनं च पाज्चाल्या वासुदेवस्य संनिधौ | आश्चासनं च कृष्णेन दु:खार्ताया: प्रकीर्तितम्,द्रौपदी श्रीकृष्णके पास बहुत रोयी-कलपी। श्रीकृष्णने दुःखार्त द्रौपदीको आश्वासन दिया। यह सब कथा वनपर्वमें है
paridevanaṃ ca pāñcālyā vāsudevasya saṃnidhau | āśvāsanaṃ ca kṛṣṇena duḥkhārtāyāḥ prakīrtitam |
Kể rằng Pāñcālī (Draupadī), trước mặt Vāsudeva, đã than khóc, trút hết nỗi sầu; và Kṛṣṇa đã an ủi nàng khi nàng đang chìm trong khổ đau. Đoạn này nêu bật sự vỗ về đầy từ mẫn dành cho người thống khổ, và bổn phận đạo lý phải gìn giữ hy vọng và dharma giữa cảnh đoạn trường.
