समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः

गृहीत्वा हरणं प्राप्ते कृष्णे देवकिनन्दने । अभिमन्यो: सुभद्रायां जन्म चोत्तमतेजस:,तदनन्तर देवकीनन्दन भगवान् श्रीकृष्णके दहेज लेकर पाण्डवोंके पास पहुँचनेकी और सुभद्राके गर्भसे परम तेजस्वी वीर बालक अभिमन्युके जन्मकी कथा है
gṛhītvā haraṇaṃ prāpte kṛṣṇe devakīnandane | abhimanyoḥ subhadrāyāṃ janma cottamatejasaḥ |
Sau khi nhận của hồi môn và đến với hàng ngũ Pāṇḍava, Kṛṣṇa—đấng cát tường, con của Devakī—trở thành duyên cớ cho biến cố kế tiếp: từ lòng Subhadrā sinh ra vị dũng sĩ Abhimanyu rực rỡ tột bậc.
