अथ चिन्तां समापेदे पुन: कौरवनन्दन । अम्भस्यस्या निमज्जेयमिति दुःखसमन्वित:,कौरवनन्दन! (उसे देखकर) दुःखसे युक्त वसिष्ठजीके मनमें फिर यह विचार आया कि मैं इसी नदीके जलमें डूब जाऊँ

Transliteration

atha cintāṃ samāpede punaḥ kauravanandana | ambhasy asyā nimajjeyam iti duḥkhasamanvitaḥ ||

Translation

Rồi, hỡi niềm vui của dòng Kuru, ông lại rơi vào nỗi băn khoăn. Bị sầu khổ phủ lấp, ông quyết: “Ta sẽ chìm xuống trong chính dòng nước của con sông này.” Câu kệ nêu rõ: đau buồn có thể đẩy cả bậc hiền trí đến ý nghĩ tự hủy, đặt ra thế căng đạo đức giữa tuyệt vọng và sự kiên định.
