Cause of Kalmāṣapāda’s Niyoga under a Curse
तपसाड<<राध्य वरदं देवं गोपतिमी श्वरम् । लेभे संवरणो भार्या वसिष्ठस्यैव तेजसा,सबके अधीश्वर वरदायक देवशिरोमणि भगवान् सूर्यको तपस्याद्वारा प्रसन्न करके महाराज संवरणने वसिष्ठजीके ही तेजसे तपतीको पत्नीरूपमें प्राप्त किया
tapasā ārādhya varadaṁ devaṁ gopatīm īśvaram | lebhe saṁvaraṇo bhāryāṁ vasiṣṭhasyaiva tejasā ||
Nhờ khổ hạnh, vua Saṃvaraṇa đã làm hài lòng vị thần ban ân—Đấng Chúa tể, bậc hộ trì và tối thượng—và bằng chính oai lực (tejas) của Vasiṣṭha, nhà vua đã được Tapati làm hoàng hậu.
