Ādi Parva, Adhyāya 146 — Brāhmaṇī’s counsel on grief, duty, and protection of children

ते समासाद्य कौन्तेयान्‌ वारणावतका जना: । कृत्वा जयाशिष: सर्वे परिवार्यावतस्थिरे,कुन्तीकुमारोंके निकट पहुँचकर वारणावतके सब लोग उनकी जय-जयकार करते और आशीर्वाद देते हुए उन्हें चारों ओरसे घेरकर खड़े हो गये

te samāsādya kaunteyān vāraṇāvatakā janāḥ | kṛtvā jayāśiṣaḥ sarve parivāryāvatasthire ||

Đến gần các con trai của Kuntī, dân chúng Vāraṇāvata đồng thanh hô vang lời chiến thắng và dâng những lời chúc lành cát tường. Rồi họ đứng sát bên, vây quanh các ngài bốn phía—một biểu hiện bề ngoài của sự đón tiếp và trung thành, làm nền cho cuộc tiếp rước công khai của các Pāṇḍava trong thành.
