भीमस्य जलान्वेषणं तथा वनविश्रान्तिः
Bhīma’s Search for Water and the Forest Halt
भग्नदर्प हृतधनं तं तथा वशमागतम् | स वैरं मनसा ध्यात्वा द्रोणो द्रुपदमब्रवीत्,उनका अभिमान चूर्ण हो गया था, धन छीन लिया गया था और वे पूर्णरूपसे वशमें आ चुके थे; उस समय द्रोणाचार्यने मन-ही-मन पिछले वैरका स्मरण करके राजा ट्रुपदसे कहा --
bhagnadarpaṁ hṛtadhanaṁ taṁ tathā vaśam āgatam | sa vairaṁ manasā dhyātvā droṇo drupadam abravīt ||
Khi lòng kiêu mạn đã bị đập tan, của cải bị tước đoạt, và bản thân hoàn toàn bị khuất phục, vua Drupada đứng lặng trong thế chịu thua. Nhớ lại mối thù xưa trong tâm, Droṇa liền cất lời với vua Drupada—mở đầu cho một cuộc thanh toán khắc nghiệt, nơi oán hờn riêng được khoác áo “báo đáp công bằng”.
