पूर्वपूर्वतमाभावं मत्वा लिप्सेत वै सुतम् । उत्तमादवरा: पुंस: काडुशक्षन्ते पुत्रमापदि
pūrvapūrvātamābhāvaṁ matvā lipseta vai sutam | uttamād avarāḥ puṁsaḥ kāṅkṣante putram āpadi ||
“Chỉ khi vắng bóng những hạng con trai trước đó, người ta mới có thể mong cầu một hạng con trai khác. Trong lúc khốn cùng, người đàn ông địa vị thấp thậm chí có thể cầu mong sinh con nhờ một người đàn ông địa vị cao hơn—đó là sự cho phép trong cảnh cấp bách, chứ không phải chuẩn mực thường tình.”
