Adhyaya 72 — Puradāha: Rudra’s Cosmic Chariot, Pāśupata-Vrata, and Brahmā’s Shiva-Stuti

It establishes the primacy of Vināyaka as the first recipient of worship—without invoking him with auspicious offerings, rites (including Liṅga-pūjā) are considered obstructed and incomplete.
By implying a strict ritual order within Śaiva practice, it reflects Śiva-tattva as Pati (the Lord) whose worship is approached through appointed powers that remove vighnas (obstacles), preserving dharmic alignment for the pashu (soul).
A clear pūjā-vidhi takeaway: begin any sacred act with Vināyaka-pūjā using śubha naivedya (bhakṣya-bhojya), ensuring obstacle-removal before deeper Śiva-upāsanā or Pāśupata-oriented discipline.
