सूर्यरथ-रचना, ध्रुव-प्रेरणा, मास-गणाः च

Jyotish-chakra: Surya’s Motion and Monthly Retinues

सौरस्तु ब्रह्मणा सृष्टो रथस्त्वर्थवशेन सः संवत्सरस्यावयवैः कल्पितश् च द्विजर्षभाः

saurastu brahmaṇā sṛṣṭo rathastvarthavaśena saḥ saṃvatsarasyāvayavaiḥ kalpitaś ca dvijarṣabhāḥ

Hỡi các bậc hiền thánh song sinh tối thượng, Thần Mặt Trời (Saura) do Phạm Thiên tạo dựng; còn cỗ xe của Ngài, được chế tác đúng theo dụng ý, lại kết thành từ chính các phần thể của năm—để thời gian vận hành theo trật tự đo lường.

Though Shiva is not named, the verse points to regulated time as a cosmic instrument. In Shaiva Siddhanta terms, kāla is among the limiting principles that bind the pashu; ultimately, Shiva as Pati transcends and governs time, while the created solar order operates within that governance.

Time-disciplined sādhanā: performing Shiva-pūjā, japa, and vrata in harmony with solar measures (daily, monthly, yearly observances). Such regulation supports Pashupata-style practice by reducing pasha through steadiness (niyama) and sacred timing.
