Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages of Naimisharanya; reporting a teaching heard by Vasiṣṭha and other rishis)
It states the phala (spiritual result) of Shiva-centered purification: when the Pashu (individual soul) becomes cleansed of pāpa through Shaiva dharma and worship, it becomes fit to attain Rudraloka—proximity to Pati (Lord Shiva).
Shiva is implied as Pati, the sovereign Lord whose realm (Rudraloka) is attained by inner purification—showing that liberation is not merely ritual, but transformation of the ātmā toward Shiva’s state and presence.
The verse highlights karma-śuddhi and antaḥkaraṇa-śuddhi (inner purification) as the essential Shaiva discipline; in the Linga Purana frame this aligns with Pashupata-oriented practice—devotion, restraint, and Shiva-puja that burns pāpa and loosens Pāśa (bondage).
