Kāma–Krodha–Lobha and the Fire of Dissolution
Suta Goswami (narrating an internal account of Shiva’s act during saṃhāra)
It highlights Shiva as the supreme Pati whose fiery power governs pralaya; Linga worship remembers this transcendent Lord beyond creation and dissolution, anchoring the devotee in the imperishable Shiva-tattva.
Shiva is shown as self-controlled (kṛtātmā) and sovereign over cosmic functions; the emergence of fire from his own being signifies his independent śakti, by which worlds and bondage are withdrawn at saṃhāra.
The imagery points to inner agni and mastery of consciousness centered at the forehead—suggestive of Pashupata-oriented inward absorption where the yogin seeks to burn impurities (mala) and loosen pāśa through Shiva-focused meditation.
