Suta Goswami (narrating a hymn spoken by the Devas/Rishis in praise of Shiva)
It frames Linga-bhakti as worship of the one Pati from whom the cosmos arises and by whose grace (prasāda) the devotee seeks protection and release—making stuti and surrender central to Linga-pūjā.
Shiva is presented as the single sovereign principle who performs sṛṣṭi, sthiti, and saṃhāra—implying His lordship (aiśvarya) over pashu (souls) and pasha (bondage), and the necessity of His grace.
The key practice is stotra/stuti culminating in prasāda-yācñā (seeking divine grace), a core mood in Pāśupata-oriented devotion where liberation is attained through the Lord’s favor rather than mere self-effort.
