Suta (narrating an internal dialogue of reconciliation)
It establishes the inner prerequisite for Linga-puja: humility and seeking forgiveness, which purifies the pashu (individual soul) from pasha (faults and karmic knots) before approaching Pati (Shiva).
Indirectly, it reflects Shaiva Siddhanta ethics: reverence toward the worthy and the practice of kshama align the devotee with Shiva’s grace (anugraha), through which bondage is loosened and right understanding arises.
Prāyaścitta in spirit—confession, repentance, and forgiveness—supporting Pashupata-style inner discipline (self-restraint and purification) as a foundation for effective worship.
