Devas Praise Śiva; Gaṇeśa Manifests as Vighneśvara and Receives the Primacy of Worship

It emphasizes that worship of Vinayaka—Shiva’s foremost attendant and remover of obstacles—is a powerful preparatory rite that makes the devotee fit for higher Shaiva worship, even earning divine honor.
By highlighting Vinayaka’s exalted fruit, it reflects the Shaiva principle that grace flows through Shiva’s parivāra (divine retinue): honoring Shiva’s order supports the pashu (soul) in moving beyond pasha (bondage) toward Pati (the Lord).
Vinayaka-puja as a phala-shruti-backed rite—commonly performed at the start of Shiva-puja to remove impediments and stabilize the devotee’s resolve for disciplined sadhana.
