कारणं ब्रूहि मे ब्रह्मन् शिष्याय तव सुव्रत / गरुडेनैवमुक्तस्तमुवाच मधुसूदनः

kāraṇaṃ brūhi me brahman śiṣyāya tava suvrata / garuḍenaivamuktastamuvāca madhusūdanaḥ

“Hỡi Bà-la-môn, xin hãy nói cho con nguyên do—vì con là đệ tử của Ngài, hỡi bậc giữ giới nguyện thù thắng.” Được Garuḍa thưa như vậy, Madhusūdana (Đức Viṣṇu) liền đáp lời.
