FAQs

This verse places Gāyatrī immediately after Vāyu in the sequence of manifestation, highlighting Gāyatrī as a foundational sacred principle (meter/mantra) that follows and sanctifies the unfolding of cosmic forces.

Indirectly: by grounding later teachings about death, rites, and afterlife in a cosmic order—Devas and sacred mantras like Gāyatrī are presented as primordial realities that underpin dharma and ritual efficacy.

Treat Vedic recitation—especially Gāyatrī japa—with reverence as a purifying discipline, aligning daily conduct with dharma and clarity of mind (prāṇa and vāyu symbolism).
