FAQs

This verse highlights Manu as the primordial progenitor who establishes human lineage and social order by entering the institution of marriage, anchoring creation in dharmic succession.

Indirectly: by placing human life within a sacred origin-story, it frames embodied existence as part of a divinely ordered creation, which later sections connect to karma, dharma, and post-death outcomes.

See family life and ethical responsibility as dharma-based stewardship of lineage—conduct (ācāra) and duty (kartavya) become meaningful within a sacred cosmological framework.
