Vedantic Theme: Īśvara-upāsanā leading to citta-śuddhi (purification of mind) and one-pointedness.
Application: Before worship/meditation, create a clean, bounded space; invoke with clear intention; perform nyāsa attentively rather than mechanically.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Type: ritual mandala / altar space
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.34.30-33 (subsequent dhyāna, mudrā, upacāras)
This verse states that the worship begins with āvāhana—formally invoking Lord Viṣṇu (the conch-bearer)—so the ritual is performed with the deity’s presence established.
It does not describe the soul’s journey here; instead, it gives a procedural teaching from the Ācāra Kāṇḍa—emphasizing correct worship through invocation and nyāsa as part of dharmic practice.
When performing pūjā, begin with a clear invocation and do the required nyāsa or preparatory steps carefully—avoiding haste or negligence (atandritaḥ).
