FAQs

This verse preserves a practical therapeutic instruction—using mustard and non-sour buttermilk as a grinding medium—to address granthikā (nodular swelling), reflecting the text’s concern with bodily well-being alongside dharma.

It does not directly discuss the soul’s journey; instead, it gives a concrete remedy for a physical condition, showing that the Garuda Purana also transmits applied knowledge (health and purification) within its broader religious framework.

As a takeaway, it highlights careful preparation (proper combinations and medium). For modern use, treat it as historical Ayurvedic guidance and consult qualified practitioners rather than self-medicating.
