“Phần về chẩn đoán đã kết thúc.” Dhanvantari nói: “Nay ta sẽ giảng dạy tinh túy đã được chứng nghiệm của các phương dược, có năng lực trừ diệt mọi bệnh. Hãy lắng nghe, hỡi Suśruta, ta nói vắn tắt—vì chính sự nâng đỡ sinh mệnh của muôn loài.”
Dhanvantari
Concept: Transmission of siddha-yoga (proven formulations) as the ‘essence’ (yoga-sāra) for the protection of prāṇa and life.
Vedantic Theme: Vidya as upakāra: knowledge used for loka-saṅgraha (welfare of beings); sustaining prāṇa supports the pursuit of dharma and mokṣa.
Application: Attend carefully to the concise teaching of established therapeutic formulations intended to remove disease and sustain life.
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.168 (transition from nidāna to yogas/formulations; Dhanvantari–Suśruta dialogue frame)
It marks a transition from identifying causes/symptoms (nidāna) to giving condensed, actionable treatments (yoga-sāra).
Dhanvantari frames the formulas as ‘sarva-roga-hara’ and explicitly states the aim: sustaining life for living beings.
It highlights a method: first understand causes, then apply concise, proven interventions—an approach aligned with systematic healthcare.
