FAQs

This verse links specific indulgences—meat, sprouted foods, and alcohol—to illness, presenting diet as a practical dharmic discipline with tangible bodily results.

It states that disease can be twofold: congenital and also arising from causes rooted in another birth, reflecting the Garuda Purana view that some suffering has karmic continuity.

Adopt moderation and mindful food-and-drink habits, and treat health not only medically but also ethically—by reducing harmful indulgences and cultivating disciplined living.
