Đối với mọi kẻ tội lỗi—kẻ trộm, kẻ say rượu, kẻ phản bạn, kẻ giết bà-la-môn, kẻ phạm vợ thầy, kẻ giết phụ nữ/vua/cha, kẻ giết bò, v.v.—xưng niệm thánh danh Viṣṇu là sự sám hối tối thượng; vì nhờ Danh ấy tâm an trụ nơi Thượng Đế.
This verse states that the supreme purification for all sinners is the utterance of Lord Viṣṇu’s name, because it reorients the mind toward Him.
In the Ajāmila narrative (Canto 6, Chapter 2), Śukadeva explains that the holy name has unique purifying power—strong enough to counter even grave sins—because it awakens remembrance and devotion to Viṣṇu.
Make daily chanting of Viṣṇu/Kṛṣṇa names a steady practice (japa or kīrtana); even amid past mistakes, sincere remembrance of God reforms the mind and supports ethical, devotional living.
