The Disappearance of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa and the Aftermath in Dvārakā
अर्जुन: प्रेयस: सख्यु: कृष्णस्य विरहातुर: । आत्मानं सान्त्वयामास कृष्णगीतै: सदुक्तिभि: ॥ २१ ॥
arjunaḥ preyasaḥ sakhyuḥ kṛṣṇasya virahāturaḥ ātmānaṁ sāntvayām āsa kṛṣṇa-gītaiḥ sad-uktibhiḥ
Arjuna đau đớn vì xa cách Śrī Kṛṣṇa, người bạn thân yêu nhất. Nhưng ông tự an ủi bằng cách nhớ lại những lời siêu việt mà Đức Chúa đã từng cất lên cho ông nghe.
According to Śrīla Śrīdhara Svāmī, Arjuna remembered such verses from the Gītā as:
This verse says Arjuna consoled himself by remembering Krishna’s own spoken teachings—His truthful, uplifting instructions.
Here, viraha is the intense pain of separation from Krishna, and the Bhagavatam shows that remembrance of His words and guidance becomes a powerful refuge for the devotee.
Like Arjuna, one can steady the mind by repeatedly recalling and studying Krishna’s instructions, using them as daily guidance to transform sorrow into devotion and clarity.
