Arjuna Marries Subhadrā; Kṛṣṇa Honors Two Devotees in Mithilā (Śrutadeva and Bahulāśva)
श्रीभगवानुवाच ब्रह्मंस्तेऽनुग्रहार्थाय सम्प्राप्तान् विद्ध्यमून् मुनीन् । सञ्चरन्ति मया लोकान् पुनन्त: पादरेणुभि: ॥ ५१ ॥
śrī-bhagavān uvāca brahmaṁs te ’nugrahārthāya samprāptān viddhy amūn munīn sañcaranti mayā lokān punantaḥ pāda-reṇubhiḥ
Đức Thượng Đế phán: “Này Bà-la-môn, hãy biết rằng các đại hiền thánh này đến đây chỉ để ban ân phúc cho ông. Họ cùng Ta du hành khắp các cõi, thanh tịnh mọi nơi bằng bụi từ bàn chân của họ.”
Śrīla Śrīdhara Svāmī explains that Lord Kṛṣṇa thought Śrutadeva had shown too much reverence to Him and not enough to the sages, and thus He turned the brāhmaṇa’s attention to them.
