Ông mang chiếu cỏ và rơm darbha đến, mời các vị khách ngồi, rồi chào đón bằng lời hoan nghênh. Sau đó, ông cùng vợ hân hoan rửa chân cho các vị ấy.
To provide even this simple welcome, Śrutadeva had to go next door to his neighbors and borrow extra mats. This insight is provided by Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī.
This verse shows Lord Kṛṣṇa personally arranging seats for the sages and reverently honoring their feet, teaching that saintly persons should be welcomed with joy and respect.
In the Bhagavatam’s narrative, Kṛṣṇa demonstrates ideal dharma and devotion—showing that even the Supreme Lord models humility and proper reception of holy guests.
Practice respectful hospitality, especially toward spiritually minded people—offer a seat, attentive service, and sincere greetings, cultivating humility and devotion.
