The Solar Eclipse at Samanta-pañcaka and the Great Reunion of Yādavas, Pāṇḍavas, and Vraja
rāma-hradeṣu vidhi-vat punar āplutya vṛṣṇayaḥ dadaḥ sv-annaṁ dvijāgryebhyaḥ kṛṣṇe no bhaktir astv iti
This second bath marked the end of their fasting, on the following day.
This verse shows the Vṛṣṇis giving charity to qualified brāhmaṇas and explicitly praying that the fruit of their pious act be bhakti to Kṛṣṇa—teaching that devotion is the highest desired result of religious deeds.
Śukadeva describes them following proper tīrtha-ritual conduct—bathing as purification and then giving charity—while focusing the purpose of the rite on attaining devotion to Kṛṣṇa.
Perform acts of cleanliness, discipline, and charity, and consciously dedicate their result to Kṛṣṇa—praying not merely for material outcomes but for steady bhakti.
