Sudāmā Brāhmaṇa Receives Kṛṣṇa’s Mercy
The Gift of Flat Rice
इत्थं व्यवसितो बुद्ध्या भक्तोऽतीव जनार्दने । विषयान् जायया त्यक्ष्यन्बुभुजे नातिलम्पट: ॥ ३८ ॥
itthaṁ vyavasito buddhyā bhakto ’tīva janārdane viṣayān jāyayā tyakṣyan bubhuje nāti-lampaṭaḥ
Như vậy, nhờ trí tuệ tâm linh mà quyết chí vững bền, Sudāmā vẫn tuyệt đối sùng kính Janārdana Śrī Kṛṣṇa, nơi nương tựa của muôn loài. Không tham lam, ông cùng vợ thọ hưởng những lạc thú giác quan được ban, nhưng luôn giữ ý niệm rằng rốt cuộc sẽ từ bỏ mọi sự hưởng thụ ấy.
