Kế đó, từ cuộc khuấy biển sữa, voi chúa tên Airāvata được sinh ra. Nó trắng tinh, và với bốn ngà, dường như sánh đọa cả vinh quang núi Kailāsa—thánh cư của Bhagavān Śiva.
