असपत्नं पुरस्तात् पश्चान्नो अभयं कृतम्। सविता मा दक्षिणत उत्तरान्मा शचीपतिः

IAST Transliteration

asapátnam purástāt paścā́n no abháyaṃ kṛtám | savitā́ mā dakṣiṇatá uttarád mā śacī́patiḥ

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Rival-less before us, and behind, let fearlessness be wrought for us. Let Savitar guard me from the south; from the north let the Lord of Śacī guard me.

Translation

Nguyện trước mặt chúng ta không có kẻ đối địch, và sau lưng cũng vậy; nguyện cho sự vô úy được tạo thành cho chúng ta. Từ phương Nam, xin Savitar che chở cho tôi; từ phương Bắc, xin Chúa của Śacī (Śacīpati, Indra) che chở cho tôi.
