Sukta 5

सा ब्रह्मज्यं देवपीयुं ब्रह्मगव्याऽदीयमाना मृत्योः पद्वीश आ द्यति

sā́ brahmajyáṃ devapīyúṃ brahmagavyā́ ’dīyámānā mṛtyóḥ padvī́ṣa ā́ dyati

She—Brahman’s bow-string, the gods’ own cherished draught, the Brahman’s cow—when she is being taken away, drives (the taker) forth into the pathways of Death.

Nàng—dây cung của Brahman, lễ ẩm hiến (pīyu) được các thần yêu quý, cũng là bò cái của Brahman—khi bị đem đi, nàng xua kẻ lấy đi, đẩy vào những nẻo đường của Tử thần (Mṛtyu).
