Sukta 4

य एनां वनिमायन्ति तेषां देवकृता वशा। ब्रह्मज्येयं तदब्रुवन् य एनां निप्रियायते

yé enā́ṃ vanimā́yanti téṣāṃ devákṛtā vaśā́ | brahmajyéyaṃ tád abruvan yá enāṃ nipriyā́yate ||

They who would bargain over her, for them the vāśā-cow is a god-wrought (bane). ‘A wrong against Brahman-power,’ so have they said, (is the deed) of him who withholdeth her in grudging wise.

Những kẻ muốn mặc cả đổi chác về nàng, đối với họ bò cái vāśā trở thành tai họa do thần linh tạo ra. Người ta đã nói: kẻ giữ nàng lại một cách keo kiệt là phạm điều ‘xúc phạm quyền lực Brahman’.
