मसूरसुद्गौ पेयार्थे भोज्या जिर्णाश् च शालयः निम्बपर्पटकैः शाकैर् जाङ्गलानां तथा रसः

masūrasudgau peyārthe bhojyā jirṇāś ca śālayaḥ nimbaparpaṭakaiḥ śākair jāṅgalānāṃ tathā rasaḥ

Để nấu cháo loãng (peya), đậu lăng và đậu xanh (mudga) là thích hợp; và gạo śāli để lâu (gạo cũ) cũng nên dùng. Cũng vậy, các món rau nấu với lá neem và parpaṭaka được khuyến nghị; và nước thịt/nước dùng của loài thú thuộc vùng khô thoáng (jāṅgala) cũng tốt.
