Ayurvedic vidyā: it links indolence (ālasyā) with kapha (śleṣman) aggravation and emphasizes diagnosing doṣa-origin diseases (vāta-ādi) through lakṣaṇas (clinical signs) before pacifying them.
It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s inclusion of practical medical science—doṣa etiology, lifestyle causation, and symptom-based diagnosis—alongside its religious and cultural teachings.
By promoting disciplined conduct and timely alleviation of illness through right knowledge, it supports dharmic living—maintaining bodily fitness as a foundation for ritual duty, study, and ethical action.
